New Facility Built for Children’s Education, 1998

Dr. Rajadurai had his early education in the Mylaudy East Junior Basic Government School (1956) with very minimal infrastructure. As there was no effort undertaken to rebuild the school, he realized the need for a building for children to spend their time for preparatory study. Very often rain water affected the education of students. He built a Mandapam in 1998 adjacent to the school in the Mutharamman temple for effective education of the students. He struggled hard to make education reachable, flexible and feasible. Rajadurai Foundation enlightens and creates widespread awareness of education among all sections of people particularly in rural areas and among the urban poor. It continuously provides financial support and tutoring for all under-privileged students. It acts like a bridge between poverty and education for rural children to become professionals in science, technology, engineering and management. Rajadurai Foundation’s endowment for education is unique and highly commendable.
