Dr. Rajadurai was born in an agricultural family possessing traditional agricultural knowledge. He is an active agriculturalist and environmentalist. Rajadurai Foundation cares about environmental protection and strives hard to save the environment from uncertainty. It follows effective ways to conserve energy and to preserve our planet’s rich natural resources. Rajadurai Foundation not only practices the conservation techniques but also raises awareness among the rural area farmers about the importance of energy conservation. It promotes eco friendly procedures to watering the plants to conserve energy. It gives improved provisions and assistance for effective use of natural resources such as water, light, fuel, clean air etc. It provides awareness education to rural area farmers on various energy conservative techniques such as drip irrigation, sprinkler irrigation, using electric & manual pumps in farms.

Rajadurai Foundation motivates and inspires farmers in rural areas to convert the barren land to agricultural land. The activities include, levelling the land, enriching the soil, planting the seedlings with sufficient and required space between plants and very particularly manuring the farms with bio-fertilizers to enhance the quality of soil. With rich knowledge of farming, Dr. Rajadurai was actively involved in agricultural development in rural areas of India while he was working in USA. He provided awareness education & employment opportunities to rural area farmers. Dr. Rajadurai’s vision is to “Live Green.” He planted different varieties of trees such as Coconut, Teak, Mango, Neem, Plantain, Gooseberry, Jack fruit for the benefit of farmers.

Dr. Rajadurai has been devoting his time to effectively utilize the recycling waste materials. He advised the public not to burn waste leafs as it is producing CO₂. He developed a scientific and systematic method to make bio-fertilizer from waste leafs. The benefits are:

Rajadurai Foundation developed cultivatable farm lands from non-fertile lands by closely working with farmers. Dr. Rajadurai possesses in-depth agriculture knowledge in farming techniques. He emphasized the importance of good soil and clean water for raising high yielding crops. He introduced soil analysis in rural areas as early as 1972 since he graduated in chemistry. He applied his chemical and agriculture knowledge for maintaining proportional Nitrogen, Phosphorus and Potassium (NPK) ratios in the land for the healthy growth of plant for high yield. The secret for his success is the adoption of passion, commitment & involvement in agriculture and smart work ethics along with farmers.

Dr. Rajadurai planted different varieties of trees using systematic plantation practices. He demonstrated step by step mango tree planting process along with the local farming community. Dr. Rajadurai took a fresh approach to develop paddy yield through his vast experience and interacting with people to understand the science behind cultivation. Dr. Rajadurai developed farms in rural areas with a view to minimize environmental pollution and simultaneously providing income source for farmers.
